How your desk runs

Your candidates in.
The right companies out.

Eight stages, one loop, on your own candidates and your own companies. Nothing leaves your desk until someone at Cathcart reads it and says yes.

Cathcart-branded dashboard Your data only Held in review
01 Your candidates in Candidates
What happens

Pulled from Bullhorn and cleaned into one profile per person: stack, role family, seniority, domain, location and remote appetite, salary, and whatever makes them stand out.

What you get

Every candidate ready to be matched, not a folder of raw CVs waiting on someone to read them.

Only a real profile gets matched. No stack, no seniority, no send.
02 Tech-aware matching Matching
What happens

Each candidate is checked against the companies who'd actually want them: stack overlap, seniority fit, domain fit, location and remote fit, and who's hiring right now.

What you get

A shortlist worth calling. Weak matches get held back for review, never sent as if they were strong.

A match on paper isn't a match you'd put your name to. This is where it earns that.
03 The “why this company” line The proof

This is the one that has to hold up. Every match earns a single, defensible sentence, the reason you'd give a client out loud on a call, not a similarity score buried in a report.

What happens

The engine writes one sentence per match that proves the fit, using real reasons: shared stack, hiring signal, competitor overlap, scale.

What you get

A defensible reason for every introduction, before you've picked up the phone.

Worked example
The candidate
Senior backend engineer. 3 years building Go and Kubernetes payments infrastructure at a Series B fintech.
The matched company
A direct competitor, also Series B, scaling on the same stack and hiring at the same seniority right now.
The why line

“Built the Go and Kubernetes payments infrastructure at a Series B fintech for three years, and this company is a direct competitor at the same stage, running the same stack, hiring at senior level right now.”

Once the why holds up, the match becomes real work: a name to call and a CV to send.
04 Enrichment + competitors Enrichment
What happens

For each matched company, the engine finds the person who'd actually make the hiring call, and maps who else in that space would want the same candidate, via Companies House and Apollo.

What you get

A named decision-maker and a wider peer set per match, not just a company logo and a guess.

The candidate is ready to be seen, not just matched.
05 CV in your template Formatting
What happens

The candidate's CV is reformatted into Cathcart's own house template, ready to send, not a generic layout bolted on afterwards.

What you get

A CV that looks like it came off your desk, because it did.

The introduction is ready. Now it needs the words.
06 Outreach drafted in your voice Outreach
What happens

A real first-touch email is drafted for each match, written the way Cathcart writes to clients, not generic AI copy with the logo swapped in.

What you get

A message ready to send that sounds like your desk, because it was trained on it.

Nothing above this line has gone anywhere near a client yet.
07 You approve Human gate
What happens

Every draft sits in review until someone at Cathcart reads it and says yes. Nothing goes out under your name without that.

What you get

Full control over what reaches a client, on your terms, at your pace. The system drafts, you decide.

Only what you've approved moves on.
08 Send, follow-up, replies Live
What happens

Approved outreach sends, follows up on a set cadence, and any reply lands straight in the CRM as a warm conversation ready to work.

What you get

Conversations waiting for you, not another inbox to chase down.

Replies become the next round of signal on who to match next. The loop closes, it doesn't restart from zero.

The whole loop

One loop, on your data, held in review.

Every stage above runs inside a Cathcart-branded dashboard, on Cathcart candidates and Cathcart companies. Your data stays separate from anyone else's.

This isn't a demo trick built for one afternoon. It's the same engine that already runs a live construction desk every day, pointed at tech.
